Trees & Shrubs

Most everyone knows I opened and closed a nursery located just around the corner from Plant Odyssey. My gratitude and thanks will always go to my community for rescuing the original Plant Odyssey from the hands of bankers.   While it’s true the failure of the nursery left a giant size hole in my pocket and a bad taste in my mouth, I haven’t completely given up on the nursery idea. An area “outback” has been set aside to display the nursery stock. One of the lessons I learned the hard way was not to carry what the mass merchandisers (Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart) do; after all they sell 80% of all plants sold in this country. Eighty percent--that astonishing fact makes me sick. You might not find common varieties of plants used in uninspired landscaping, but you will find a good selection of natives, not so well known varieties of evergreens, Japanese maples and other plants I consider worthy of consideration. Listed below are plants normally kept in stock.  Looking for something not listed? Could be we have it and I just forgot to list it!  If that’s not the case,  I’ll ask my growers if it’s available and special order it for you.

Trees & Shrubs are listed by their common name and their latin name. TIP: Use Ctrl-F to find
